Excuses, excuses …

Our resident cartoonist Judy Horacek provides us with one of her ‘classic’ cartoons for this month’s Sheilas – thank you Judy!

It’s a nod to a Rebecca West quote: “I myself have never been able to find out what feminism is; I only know that people call me a feminist whenever I express sentiments that differentiate me from a doormat or a prostitute.”

It’s also a nod to this month’s Bonza Sheila – Monica Dux – whose first book ‘The Great Feminist Denial’ (written with Zora Simic) explores modern feminism and identity.

Speaking of books, we are looking forward to Judy’s next publication which we hope to alert readers to in our next edition of Sheilas – so stay tuned! Thanks again, Judy!
